Advise from HRs memory

 

 

 

 

Alright, so I have had some time to think back and reflect on my younger years, now that my oldest has graduated high school and looking to make HIS mark on the world.

And I have come up with a few words of advise to pass along to the next generation…

 

#1. When the officer says “get down on the ground now !” and adds “OR ELSE!” Just get down, the or else part friggin hurts A LOT.

 

#2. While skateboarding, water ski style behind your best buddy’s pick up truck driving down the road at 60 mph, make sure there is enough rope that if he slams on the brakes and skids to a stop, you have time to go around the truck instead of through the back window. AND wear a helmet.

 

#3. If at all possible in your growing years try your best to NOT sleep with your best friends sister OR his mother. that really puts a strain on a friendship.

 

#4. While out for a fun filled evening with your buddy, do not get the bright idea to drive 2 states away in a 2 seat er car with 2 husky guys, 1 beanpole skinny mother-fucker and a miniature claustrophobic hulk boy with a bad temper and a short fuse. (the blood stains never come out of the upholstery)

#5. When shit doesn’t seem to go quite right and you think there is no one in the world who would understand, remember there is always some one who will just listen and not try to fix you.

3-21-12 Why Hello There

Today I found my self in an ocean of wonder and gratification.

1 have have lived longer today then anyone would have believed that ever knew me growing up.

2, I had a great time yesterday with all the blogging and picking fun.

 3, I figured out my kids arnt half bad (I had a chance just to sit there and watch them interact with each other, something I haven’t done in well to long).

4, when I got to work today all was green light to go, no really bad issues over my long weekend.

5, I began eating a little better and feeling a little better about what I was eating ( no glass ).

6, It was warm outside and the sun was bright.

7, People where smiling and walking around with what appeared to be a ” spring ” in there step. All was going good, smiles, sunshine, happy.

and then….

Don’t you just hate cliffhanger’s ?

Why I visit and don’t live here

So as many of you know (or don’t) I don’t read all that much.

I really didn’t pay full attention in school.

And I’m a little slow when it comes to understanding most computer stuff.

I would like to take a second and help all the people out there in blog world with a little piece of info I realized just today.

When you look at your stats page, the number for visits to your blog under the heading yesterday will not increase.

Sorrow and Tears

Today is a very sad day indeed.

I lost one of my closest and dearest friends.

He has been there for me without fail.

When I’ve had a bad day and just need someone to talk to.

He was there.

When I’ve come home with good news and wanted to celebrate.

He was there.

When I was sad and didn’t want to say anything at all.

He was there.

When I needed him after I hurt myself doing something stupid.

He was there.

When I felt like the weight of the world was on my shoulders.

He was there.

Rest assured you yourself will never be replaced.

I will always Cherish the memories that we had.

But as you well know, I am not one to sit still long.

If you where still here I’m sure you tell me to move on.

Here we go again, 12/27 the returns

So yeah, as some of you know I have a job working in retail.

let as recap the past week and a half,

Step 1, figure out what that special person wants. Category of the item desired

Step 2, Find out the gift for said person , What is it exactly they would love to have.

Step 3, Locate that perfect gift for that special person. Where can it be bought and is there enough

Step 4, Go to purchase the greatest gift ever. After fighting your way to the table and suffering a couple of bruises.

Step 5, Wrap that gift perfectly with a bow. Said persons favorite color paper and Santa splattered on it

Step 5, Tease them that they will never guess what it is. Don’t let them know that they picked it out.

Step 6, They open it a day after Christmas ( because you where with family ON Christmas)

That’s when the pain starts.

That special someone forces a smile and a over exaggerated

“It’s exactly what I wanted. “

Step 7, Find the receipt because her sister got her the same god dam present you did, and gave it to her the day BEFORE Christmas

Step 8, Hunt down the sist..  scratch that. Step 8a,Ttell her that’s fine and drive her to the store to return said gift and pick out something else.

Strep 9, Wait in line for over an hour with every other Man who thought of the same god dam thing you did,

” I give her this gift she will be so grateful I might just get lucky”.

Step 10, She gets what she wants, you get I’m sorry Hun but I promised my parents we would drive up and see them tonight

( which by the way is an hour drive one way )

Step 11, get home, have a shot, go to bed and hope for a better tomorrow.
